Heart Chakra - Opening the Gateway to Love and Compassion

[00:00:00] Hello, welcome back. I hope you've enjoyed the last two weeks balancing and activating your solar plexus chakra. Today, our series centers around the heart chakra, associated with love, compassion, and emotional well being. We're going to explore practices to cultivate self love and develop harmonious relationships.

[00:00:25] Your heart chakra, it's located in the center of your chest, near your heart. It's typically depicted as emerald or vibrant green, and it symbolizes love, compassion, and healing. The symbol of the heart chakra is often represented by a lotus flower with 12 petals. It signifies qualities, again, such as love.

[00:00:49] Harmony and emotional balance. So it governs our ability to give and receive love. It allows us to form healthy relationships [00:01:00] and cultivate empathy for ourselves and for others. When the heart chakra is balanced and open, it allows us to experience love and connection with others. We can extend compassion and forgiveness, and we foster harmonious relationships.

[00:01:18] This is essential for the integration of the physical and spiritual aspects of our well being. And what if it's imbalanced? What are the impacts on our health? Well, as usual, as with every chakra that we've discussed so far, it can manifest in various ways. Difficulty informing and maintaining healthy relationships, feelings of resentment, feelings of jealousy, or being emotionally closed off.

[00:01:48] You may experience a lack of self love or self compassion. You may not be setting healthy boundaries. You may be experiencing some physical, heart [00:02:00] related issues. High blood pressure, respiratory problems. This can significantly impact our physical and our emotional health and well being.

[00:02:09] How do we fix this? How do we balance? How do we open the heart chakra? Practice some heart centered meditation. Focus on the breath, focus on visualizing love and compassion flowing in and out of your heart space. Cultivate these feelings of love. Cultivate feelings of gratitude and forgiveness during your meditation.

[00:02:31] Practice a loving, kindness meditation. Directing loving and compassionate thoughts towards yourself, your loved ones. And even... You know, people that you don't necessarily get along with. Focus on practicing love towards them. Cultivate a sense of goodwill and unconditional love for everyone.

[00:02:53] If you practice yoga, incorporate heart opening yoga postures. Try [00:03:00] camel pose. Or bridge pose. Or fish pose. I'm sure you can name a few more. If you can, I'd love to hear what they are. These poses, they help release tension, and they open the chest area. Spend some time in nature. Connect with the beauty and the love all around us.

[00:03:19] Everything that is present in the natural world. Engage an act of kindness towards others. Acts of love and compassion, it helps open and activate the heart chakra. Crystals. Rose quartz and green crystals. These crystals resonate with the heart chakra. Jade, great example.

[00:03:39] Place these on the heart area during meditation, or again, carry them as reminders of love and compassion throughout the day. Now, we've gone through a few of the chakras already, so I'm aware that if you're carrying crystals, your pockets may be getting full. So pick your crystals in the morning.

[00:03:57] You know, you don't have to carry all of them with you all of the time. [00:04:00] Pick the one that resonates with you the most that day. Choose that one. You can practice affirmations. You'll want to repeat affirmations that are focused on love, compassion, and self acceptance. Some examples, and as always, feel free to use your own.

[00:04:18] I am worthy of love. I forgive myself and others. I open my heart to give and receive love.

[00:04:27] Cultivate loving and supportive relationships in your life. You'll want to surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you. Practice open communication, empathy, and compassion.

[00:04:41] Again, I'll post a link to the delicious chakra soup recipe for the heart But you can also try some of my favorites and they are matcha smoothies and avocado green smoothie which I think is just delicious and Kale, I really like kale chips with a little bit of coconut [00:05:00] or a little bit of chili on top So give those a try and let me know what you think.

[00:05:05] Stay in touch and let me know what techniques you are going to try over the next couple of weeks.

[00:05:12] And remember that by incorporating these techniques into your life, you will bring balance and you will open your heart chakra. You will foster love, compassion, and emotional well being. And this is going to allow for deeper connections with others, increased self love, and a harmonious approach to relationships and interactions.

[00:05:34] As always, have fun over the next two weeks. I know I kept this episode really short, but it was full of love. And I hope I'll see you again in two weeks. Bye for now! The Holistic Health Show
