Episode 12: Solar Plexus Chakra - Empowerment and Personal Power

[00:00:00] Hello, and welcome back. We are continuing our chakra series. Gosh, I feel like those weeks have gone by really quickly. I hope you've been having fun. I have. I've been trying some new things. Um, I've posted in the comments And I've been chatting to a few of you about how the week has gone, or the two weeks have gone, and the different techniques we've been employing, so it's been fun.

[00:00:26] And I'm really excited today, we're going to talk again about the solar plexus chakra, and this chakra focuses on empowerment and personal power. So the solar plexus chakra governs our personal power, our confidence and our self esteem. Today, we're going to explore methods to awaken and strengthen our sense of empowerment.

[00:00:52] The solar plexus chakra, it's located in the upper abdomen between your navel and your sternum. It's [00:01:00] typically a vibrant or a golden yellow. and it symbolizes personal power, vitality, and transformation. The symbol of the solar plexus chakra is often represented by a 10 petaled lotus flower, and it represents qualities such as confidence, willpower, and self esteem.

[00:01:22] The solar plexus chakra Again, closely associated with personal power, self esteem and confidence, making it the center of our identity, willpower and self worth. So when this chakra is balanced and activated, we're able to assert ourselves. We can take action. We make. Great decisions. We pursue our goals with determination and with confidence.

[00:01:51] This chakra is crucial for cultivating a healthy sense of self, setting and keeping boundaries and embracing our [00:02:00] personal power in order to create positive change in our lives. But what if it's not balanced? And what are the impacts on our health? Like all the other chakras we've discussed so far, it manifests.

[00:02:26] It manifests as needing constant validation from others, difficulty making decisions or just not making them, you know, being really indecisive, feeling powerless. It manifests as procrastination, lack of motivation, digestive issues such as stomach ulcers, indigestion, or eating disorders. And it can manifest as aggression or feelings of being dominated or dominating others.

[00:02:54] So as you can see, it has a significant impact on your overall health. It [00:03:00] leads to this low self worth, this lack of motivations, problems in your personal and professional relationships. Thank Now, as we have been doing, we're going to talk about what we can do about it, we can start with affirmations.

[00:03:17] Use positive affirmations that promote self confidence and self worth. You can make up your own, but here are some examples. I embrace my personal power. I am worthy of success. I give myself permission to be my authentic self.

[00:03:38] You can practice inner child healing. So engage in some inner child healing practices to address any past wounds or experiences that may have affected your sense of personal power. You may need to seek support for this, all right? So seeking support from therapists or Using self guided healing [00:04:00] techniques to nurture your inner child.

[00:04:03] I'd encourage you, I believe it was episode 9, Hypnotherapy with Carol McRae. And we have another one coming up, Past Life Regression. These would be great. So great therapists, great modalities to really help you seek out your inner child and heal. Practice core strengthening exercises. . So again, this is the solar plexus. Think about where that is. You want to engage physical exercises that focus on that area, those muscles. So exercises such as Pilates. Yoga poses like the boat pose. These can activate and strengthen the solar plexus chakra. Visualization and meditations, as we've mentioned in previous I'm going to be doing a series of videos, episodes, visualizing that beautiful, bright, golden light radiating from your solar plexus area.

[00:04:59] [00:05:00] Finding meditations that are specifically dedicated to the solar plexus chakra. Crystal healing. So, the crystals you want to work with are yellow calcite or tiger's eye, one of my favorites. You'll place them on the solar plexus area while you're meditating or you carry them with you. Again, in your pocket, in your purse, in your hand.

[00:05:22] Keep them close. There are some wonderful herbs that support the solar plexus chakra. These can be chamomile, ginger, and peppermint. You want to set boundaries. And you want to be assertive. Setting healthy boundaries and assertiveness while you're interacting with others. Learn to say no when you don't want to do something.

[00:05:45] When you can't. And express your needs and opinions and be confident.

[00:05:50] And again, we'll finish with nutrition today, so... So, if you haven't already found the chakra soup recipes, I'll link that below. But some [00:06:00] other recipes that I really like for this one, and these are just some personal favorites. So, a tropical pineapple green smoothie. I'll see if I can dig that one up for you.

[00:06:10] Uh, corn. So, grilled corn. In a salad, in a black bean salad, for example. Mango for dessert or a snack. There's lots of things you can try. And again, you can't try them all, right? We've only got so much time. We only enjoy so many things. So pick what it is you're going to focus on over the next couple of weeks.

[00:06:29] Let me know. Um, I really liked including some of the herbal supports, um, the meditations in this one. I just thought we needed some more activities that weren't really time consuming, you know, that we could sit back and relax with. So a ginger, a chamomile ginger tea, one of my favorites, peppermint if I want to feel more energized.

[00:06:52] Make a tea, have it during your coffee break, have a tea break instead, before bed, have something really soothing. And if you're [00:07:00] participating in yoga classes, focus on some core strengthening exercises over the next two weeks.

[00:07:05] By implementing these techniques consistently, you're going to balance and activate your solar plexus chakra. And this is going to lead to increased self confidence, assertiveness, and a strong sense of personal power in all aspects of your life.

[00:07:21] So whatever it is you're choosing, have fun with it, enjoy, stay in touch, and we'll see you again in two weeks when we will dedicate our time to the heart chakra. Bye for now.
